So it was a Saturday afternoon and there we were, nothing on the schedule, so why not make a shore dive? Mandy’s Eel Garden is a shore dive right in front of Infinity Bay Resort on West Bay beach on the island of Roatan. It offers a beautiful dive just about 300 meters off the shore! There are two swim throughs on the way to the reef and upon exiting the second sim through you are at around 50 ft of crystal clear water on the second largest barrier reef in the world.
Mandy’s Eel Garden may have the same coral on every dive but the environment changes every single time! Green and Spotted Eels, Sea Turtles, Lobster, Grouper, Eagle Rays, etc. I must have dove that site 50 times now and every time I am surprised.
This particular dive was different in its own way… I have had remoras catch a ride on me multiple times but this time was a little weird…
